Erika Harvey is a hands on learner and strategist who teaches companies the secrets to building sustainable and profitable businesses. She’s the Head of Innovation of a Longline Fishing Company globally recognized for quality, sustainability, and innovation and is the Managing Director of InVenture, a business advisory company that specialises in helping SMB's and Start-up companies to improve culture and drive growth.
Erika is a serial entrepreneur who has created and scaled businesses most of her career life. In 2014, she left IT research and advisory firm, Gartner, to fully immerse herself in entrepreneurship and is currently on a mission to change the wasteful practices within the commercial fishing industry. With their pilot underway, they're aiming to create New Zealand's first digitally enabled commercial fishing vessel by leveraging AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) to bring precision and true compliance to the Marine industry for the first time.
She approaches every project by leveraging different aspects of her background: the creativity and intellectual rigor of a specialist consultant, the business acuity and diplomacy driven from corporate experience, and the energy, agility and tenacity from being an entrepreneur.
Erika is also the mother of a child who has autism and is an advocate for equity in education.
